Zita Konik
Medical Director for Alameda County EMS, California
Zita Konik serves as the Medical Director for Alameda County EMS Agency in California, which includes the cities of Oakland, Berkeley, and Fremont and supports EMS care to 1.8 million people. She attended medical school at the University of California, San Francisco and completed her emergency medicine residency training at Stanford University. She is board certified in both Emergency Medicine and Emergency Medicine services. She first became involved in EMS when she served as medical director for Novato Fire for ten years, which paved the way for her to become the Napa County EMS Medical Director. She currently serves on the executive committee for the Emergency Medical Directors Association of California. She also serves as a physician on the Disaster Medical Assistance Team DMAT CA-6.
